ONE year in the making!

One year ago today our family became a family of four. It was one of the scariest days of my life. I was so excited to meet my baby Macee. I was so happy to be having a baby girl. But I was so scared that they were taking her to early. I remember as soon as I heard her cry I knew she was okay. It was the hardest five days of my life, watching her lay in her bed in the NICU. I didn't want to leave her side. It was very SCARY in the beginning, but as soon as the "nice" doctor told us that she would be home by the weekend, all was okay in the world again. I am so thankful that Macee only had to stay five days. We were very lucky. I will never forget bringing her home on Mother's Day, it was the best Mother's Day I will ever have!

One Year In The Making:

Fresh out of the womb!

A few hours after her birth. She became so puffy from all the stuff they were putting in her. Notice the difference in this picture and the one right above it.

I just wanted to hold her so bad. Thankfully, a couple days later I was able to.

Getting some rest in the NICU.

She started loosing all her puffyness and became sooo tiny!!!

Daddy, Landon, and I are so excited to be a family of four now. As Landon would say, "Macee, you completed our family"

A few more pictures from her first year:

She had lots of dark hair, then if fell out. It grew back a nice light brown color.

Skinny legs...but not for long;)

I started putting skirts on her right from the start:)

Your first 4th of July!

Our bow collection is out of control after one full year of bow shopping!!!

Your first Halloween! My little flower!

Those Cheeks!!!!!!!

Your first Christmas!

Your favorite toy.

Your first Easter!

Your FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

Some things you are up to these days: Waving!!! I must say it is the cutest wave I have ever seen!!! You keep your hand flat and don't bend your fingers at all. You just move your hand in a tiny circle. It looks like a princess wave!! You say "dada", "baba", and finally "mama"!!!!! You clap, you give kisses, you "love your baby" (hold your baby to your face and kiss it), you love the wagon, you are walking behind your walker, you love other babies and kids, you love to open books, you love opening cabinets, you love having your arms or legs tickled, you will just lay still and let anyone tickle you, you love your big girl car seat, you love when Landon plays silly games wtih you in the car to get you to laugh, you love your baths, in fact you love them so much you dunk your face under water! You have 4 teeth up top and 2 on the bottom. You LOVE being outside. One of your favorite things to do is crawl around the garage and explore. I gave up keeping you clean, instead we just take lots of baths!! You have the most beautiful skin!! You already have a tan and its only May!!! No fair!!! You definetly have Daddy's skin, cause you tan so easy and fast.

Foods you eat: turkey lunch meat, peaches, pears, apples, chicken, lasagna, pizza, toast, Yoplait yogurt, peas, applesauce, goldfish, string cheese, rice, pancakes, biscuits, and much more. You are a great eater!!!!
Size 4 diaper, size 12-18 months clothes, size 4 shoes

Happy Birthday my sweet baby girl. This year has flown by and I have loved watching you grow. You are perfect in everyway. I love you!
