Christmas Eve and Day 2011

We had a great Christmas this year. It was bittersweet of course since Marc was in New Mexico working. The great news is that Marc starts his new job in March and he will have a NORMAL job with normal hours and no traveling on Christmas and being gone for 30 days at a time!!! WAHOOOO!!!! On Christmas Eve we had Christmas with Nana at our house. Here is a Uncle Luke helping Landon with his Inventions Kit.

On Christmas Eve night we went over to Marc's dad for Christmas. It was of course a crazy and fun night with TONS of gifts, food, and family. Landon loves his two cousins Ben and Tanner.

Macee and sweet Gavin became fast friends, they have not seen eachother since they were babies!

On Christmas morning we celebrated Christmas at my parents house. My grandparents are in town from Iowa for a few weeks and we were so excited to have them here for Christmas!! This is my grandpa opening a gift.

Macee and Landon opened gifts from Santa in their jammies and then we showered and went for round 2 of gifts from the grandparents!!!

We took Landon and Macee to Rhema a few weeks ago. They of course LOVED it!! Doing things like this with Macee is so fun, even though she went last year, she of course doesn't remember so everything is so new and exciting!

We went and ate at Dave and Buster's before we went. Landon had so much fun!

We make a Gingerbread house every year.... and every year they turn out awful!! It is almost like a joke now. We really do try.. we just really struggle in gingerbread house building! Oh well!! We have fun tryin'!

Santa at Bass Pro

We took the kiddos to see Santa at Bass Pro. Macee went with Ms. Tammy a few weeks earlier. Ms. Tammy said she sat on his lap but would not smile- we have the picture, it is so funny! I was just shocked she got on his lap. I really wanted a pic of her and landon together, so we talked her into sitting on his lap again!

I just love the look on her face. She looks so pitiful. :( It is much better then last years!!! Maybe next year we will get a smile!!

Landon turns 7!

Landon had a baseball/Cardinals birthday party this year. Surprise surprise! HA! We had the neighbor girls over and family. We wanted to get a baseball pinata and all they had was a Texas Rangers one, so Marc bought it and said we could beat the crud out of them again! HA!!!

He had a great party. He was just really low key about it this year. He wanted a party at home and he really didn't even want friends to come! I invited some anyway! He just wanted to get toys!!!! I guess it's his age, maybe... We didn't mind, it was a fun and relaxing party with good friends and family. Landon has really grown up alot between the age of 6-7. He is interested in baseball, basketball, legos, karate, Angry bird, and Big Time Rush.

Halloween 2011

Every year we go trick or treating with family and all our neighbors. It is such a fun night!! This year Madden was old enough to join in on the fun! Madden the Monkey :)

Albert Pujos and Army Guy Ben!

This is the big group of kiddos that all go trick or treating together! We have been doing it for about 4 years!

Of course, Landon wanted to be Albert for Halloween. I even painted a goatee on him! :)

Macee was the cutest Minnie Mouse ever!!! She loved Halloween!!! After every house she would come running back to Marc and I saying " I got skittles", even if she got something else. :) She is ALL about the candy!! Landon is all about the fun and dressing up, he could careless about the candy still. Macee had her whole bag eaten in abou 2-3 days. We hid hers and then we found her digging through her brother's candy stash! :)

Oklahoma Pirate Baseball

Landon played summer baseball and then he played fall baseball for the Oklahoma Pirates. The kid lives for baseball!!!! It is his absolute favorite thing to do, play, watch, and talk about!!!! He is doing so good and it really started to look like actual baseball this past fall. I enjoy his games so much! Marc was able to help out alot this season and we all enjoyed spending our weekends at the ball fields. Landon and Marc were also thrilled that the Cardinals won the World Series this year, but that is a whole different blog post in itself!!!

Macee and Bryson have been friends since they were babies. There big brothers play every sport together, so they are always together! Bryson started to tell eveyone that Macee was his girlfriend a few months ago, and now Macee has started telling everyone that he is her boyfriend. :) They are sooo sweet!!!!

His favorite position to play is first base. He loves Albert Pujos and wanted to be #5 this year because he said Pujos is his hero. Not sure what he will be now that Pujos is no longer a Cardinal.... We will cross that bridge come spring baseball :)

I feel so guilty about not blogging in 6 months!!! I feel bad that when my kids go back and look at our family blog there will be so many memories missing!! They grow up so fast that I just really want to capture and remember each moment in our blog. I have been SOOO busy teaching again with Marc traveling so much I just have no time or energy to blog! But, I have to make a better effort to keep up!!!! It has been so long since I have blogged, I can't even get the blogger website to work right!! GRRRRR!!!!! Oh well! I took these pictures back in October when the kids were playing outside at my parents. I love these pics and wanted to post a few!

It has been WAY to long since I last blogged!!! I have hardly even taken any pictures!!! ALL my free time has been dedicated to my classroom!!!! I have been laminating, cutting, planning, reading, and cutting some more for about a month or so every night!!! I am SOOOO excited about teaching again!!!!!!!! My first grade team is amazing! I could not have dreamed of a better group of ladies to work with! Landon and I both are so excited to start our new adventure at Park Lane!!! Macee has started her first week at Ms. Tammy's house. She had a great first day, day 2 was a little hard, and day 3 and 4 have been great!!! She is doing awesome with her potty training and has only had 1 accident in 5 days!!! WAHOOOOOOOO! I am so proud of her:) Well, I am going to just add some pics from the last month!

These are NOT 4th of July pics!!! My grandma- Dad's mom- was in town with my aunt and uncle for a week in early August. My gma was turning 87 and she LOVES anything red, white, and blue so we had a surprise party for her. It was alot of fun!!!

Landon had been begging Marc and I to put him in karate for over a year now. I finally decided to let him try it out. He loves it!!!! He has only had 3 classes so far and I can see it on his face how much he is enjoying it. I am SOOO impressed with the instructors. They are the perfect combination of strict and fun!!! It is amazing how well the kids listen and behave. Landon loves the instructors already and tries so hard the whole time he is there.

Tonight he was awarded his white belt. He will start earning stripes on this belt and will then test for his yellow/gold belt sometime in between 6-12 stripes.

He is very proud of his white belt and is already talking about the black belt! HA!

Alot of people there think he looks like "Johnny" from the original Karate Kid:)

We all went bowling today for something different to do with the kids. We had alot of fun!

Macee loved rolling her bowl down the thing, but she would never wait and see how she did! She would scream and run back to the machine to watch her ball come back up!

Father's Day 2011

We new Marc would be at work on Father's Day, so we did it last weekend before he left. I always have a hard time thinking of gift ideas for Marc. He doesn't ever ask or want anything. The poor man NEVER buys himself ANYTHING!!!! Whether it's a new technology item, new pair of shoes, or something for his truck, nope, never! He would rather not spend the money then buy something or ask for something. So, I finally thought of Purple Glaze and decided to take the kids there a few weeks ago. It was our first time and I let them pick out something to paint for Daddy. Landon chose a baseball dish that has a lid. He thought daddy could put coins and special stuff in it:) I thought it was pretty cute how he painted OSU in the inside cause that is daddy's favorite. Macee painted a plate for Marc. She had so much fun painting and just kept painting the same spot over and over!

We are very lucky to have Marc in our lives. He is such an amazing father. He truly sacrifices soooooooo much for his family. He is the most unselfish person I have EVER met! He is the PERFECT father to our 2 kids. He plays with them constantly and gives them his undivided attention in whatever they are doing. They love him so much and look up to him. He will sit with Macee for hours and play board games, puzzles, and read books to her. He will do whatever crazy thing Landon wants to do at the drop of a hat, whether it be sword fighting, baseball, or building tents, if they ask for it, they get it:)

Recently Marc and Landon went to Rhode Island for Uncle AJ's graduation. They had such an awesome time together:)

I also want to give a shout out to my dad, since this is a Father's Day post after all. I have a pretty amazing dad also. He was always there for me growing and still is now. Marc - ( if he ever wrote on this blog) would say his dad is pretty awesome as well. I mean Marc had to learn how to be such a good dad from someone:)

It's Official, we have a dog!

A few weeks ago my dad picked up 5 puppies on the side of the road. We decided to keep one for us, however since our house is on the market we thought we would keep it at my parents until we moved. I just thought it would be easier to not have to leave her or bring her with us everytime someone came to look at the house. But, poor Stella was getting lonely at my parents house and we thought she needed to get used to the kids so we brought her home for good!!!! She also needs to be trained and my parents are just to busy to work with her and give her enough attention. Landon and Macee LOVE her!!!! I think it is finally sinking in that she is their puppy since she is at our house now.

Last night was her first official night at our house and this morning the first thing the kids did was go outside and play with Stella:)

Little Gymnast!

Macee had her last class at Little Gym last week. I think we will put her in gymnastics again in the fall but at an actual gym here in town. She loved going to little gym and really started to surprise me on what she could do!

They always hand out medals and cookies on the last day of class. This is Macee and Bryson. It was so cute when we were taking their picture, Macee got a really funny look on her face, and then she put her arm around Bryson!!!! It was soooo cute!

The bars are Macee's favorite thing. She played on them that day for 25 minutes straight!!!!! She can hang on them for so long and swing her legs back and forth. It is amazing how little kids can hold their bodies up that long!!! It was like she was a little feather just blowing back and forth!

Memorial Day Weekend:)

We had a great weekend. We spent pretty much 3 days in the water! My parents pool was just finished and we went over there to swim on Saturday, Sunday, and again for little bit today. I only remembered my camera today when we went over there, figures!! The water was pretty cool in the pool, so Macee loved to play in the hot tub. It was set at about 85 degrees, so it was just right for her!

Of course, sweet Stella was there for the fun:)

Kindergarten Graduation

Friday was Landon's Kindergarten Graduation. He still has two more days of school left... if you want to call it school- Monday is the Drillers Game and Tuesday is Fun Day!! His graduation started after school mass. They each got their diplomas in front of the whole school and then they sang the sweetest song. I thought I was going to loose it when one of the kindergarten teachers read a poem before the ceremony started. It was a very bittersweet day for me. I am so proud of Landon and everything he has done this school year. He has done excellent in his school work, built amazing friendships, been a very helpful and loving big brother, and he has learned so much about our Catholic Faith. I am amazed at the things he tells me everyday. One thing that just happend recently that comes to my mind was when we were getting out of the car at school and I had a million things in my hands for PTO of course, I was trying to get the stroller out and I ended up spilling my brand new cup of coffee. The first thing Landon says was" its okay, mom, it was just a cup of coffee, thats not the worst thing that can happen, we are all still alive and healthy." Those little words coming from my 6 year old totally made my day! I was actually happy I spilt my coffee just because I got to hear him say that:)

Macee's TWO!!!!!!!

Well... the day has finally arrived. Not really sure how I feel about my baby girl turning 2. Sometimes I get very sad about it and want my little baby back. To me turning 2 means no more "baby" and she is officially a "toddler". Then other times I am happy that she is getting older and turning into her own little person. She has changed SO much in just the last 2 weeks. Since the main reason that I do this blog is to have a scrapbook of my kids, I am going to write about what she is up to and into these days....

Food: she is a great eater! She will try new things and still eats fruits and veggies without a FIGHT!!! It must be a miracle!!! She loves sushi!!! She also LOVES candy. I am okay with her eating a little candy because she does eat such a balanced diet. She loves to eat salad, yes you heard me salad. I even order her a salad when we go eat, because if I don't she will eat mine and none of her own food!

Play: she LOVES to draw!! I can not even believe how much she loves to draw and color. She is holding the crayon/marker like a big girl and when she colors she has to fill the whole page before she is done. All day long she will say "I draw" which means she wants me to get out her art box. She also loves to do anything outside of course. She loves to build blocks and big legos. She loves Toy Story, Minnie, and Hello Kitty. She also knows what Princesses are. I am in for it thats for sure;) She loves PJs and will get so excited when its time to put them on!

Other info: She is very possessive, everything is "Macee's" and she will also point to other peoples things and say whos they are. She is not afraid to play on anything or go down any slides. She goes to bed like a perfect angel!!!! I am soooo thankful for this!!! She also still naps great! She does throw some fits and whines some, but it has not gotten to bad....yet! She loves her relatives! She is crazy about her grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Sometimes in the car she will just name everyone in our family. I think it is her way of telling me she loves them and is thinking about them:) I just love her so much and I can't believe she has been with our family for 2 whole years already!! I can't imagine life without her. She brings soooo many laughs to our family. Tonight at dinner she wanted her baby on the table so she could feed her some corn with her fork;) She said "baby eat, ummm"

On Tuesday before Landon's game we went to dinner (mexican- in honor of her Cinco De Mayo bday) and they sang to her. She wasn't really excited about the sombrero but she LOVED the dessert!

One of my favorite things of my day is when I lay her down at night and she says in her sweet little voice OVER and OVER "my mommy, my mommy" until I shut the door:) It melts my heart!

Easter Weekend 2011

We had a great Easter Weekend. After church on Sunday we went over to may parents house for an Easter Egg Hunt inside since it rained all day long. The kids didn't mind looking for eggs in the house:)

Macee was in a great mood all day, but for some reason she would NOT smile for the camera!!!!

Easter Eggs

Yesterday we dyed Easter Eggs. It is so fun watching and listening to Macee when we do these "new" and "first" things with her. Of course, she was there last year when we did this, but was way to young. She LOVED it and kept saying "cool" and "so Pretty" when they eggs would come out of the dye.

Landon and Daddy thought it would be cool to mix some of the tablets and try to make a black color. Yuck!

Loving every minute of it!

They went outside and played while the eggs dried. Then they came in and put the stickers on them. Macee loved that part also!!! She was sad when she ran out of stickers, but sweet big bubba gave her some of his:)

Little Gym

Macee is still loving her Little Gym class every Wednesday. She is getting more and more brave each time we go. This past week they practiced putting bean bags on their heads while walking across the balance beam. Macee was funny because every time Ms. Tammy put the bag on her head, Macee would take it off and put it on Mrs. Tammy's head instead:) Silly girl.

Stations of the Cross

In honor of Easter, Landon's class acts out the Stations of the Cross. Landon was SOOOOOO excited that he would get to play Jesus. He was very into his character and took it VERY serious. That morning he wanted to know what Jesus ate for breakfast the day he was crucified, so that he could have the same thing. :) His whole class did so good, they were very serious and the entire school was very impressed with their performance.

Splinters!!!!!!!!

Last night Landon took his flip flops off in the back yard. - something he will NEVER do again I hope!!! He chased a ball across the yard and ran across the top of our sandbox, which as a wooden lid. I heard him screaming from the front yard!! He was in alot of pain and cried most of the night. I think he was mostly scared about how they were gonna come out. I tried to get some out and was only able to get the biggest one out. This morning he could barely walk so we went to the Dr. On the way there he counted all of them and said there was 47!!! Most of them were on the same foot, just a few were on the other foot. You can only see the big ones in the picture, it really doesnt do it justice, until you see it in person and see all the tiny ones all over also.

OUCH!!! Macee of course came along for the fun.

I was trying to keep her entertained. We were back in the little room for almost 2 hours!!!!!! I was going INSANE!!!!!!!!! Don't tell anyone, but I think she may have ate 6 or 7 dum dums in that time frame!!!!

Its never good when your Pediatrician says "Oh My God" when he looks at you. Then all the nurses came in one by one to check out the damage!! Ha!!! They put some numbing gel on it and let that sit for awhile. Once they thought it was numb, they "rallied the troops" as his DR. said and they went to work!

At one point we had 3 nurses and the Dr. in our room helping. Landon did soooooo good!!! It really started to hurt towards the last 5-6 splinters, cause the numbing gel was wearing off. He clenched his fist so tight- (notice his white knuckles) and took lots of deep breathes but never cried!!! He was so tough and brave!!! Dr. Knippers was so proud of him for being so still and tough. They put all the splinters on a piece of gauze and showed the other staff members! I think he broke some kind of record! HA!

Photo Contest

Landon's school is having Library Week this week. One of the contest is that the student has to take a picture, and there must be books in the picture somewhere. Landon set this up in his room and took a picture. We will find out if he won on Monday. I think he did a pretty good job:)

Sunny Days

Macee and I have been playing outside alot while Landon is at school- and of course again when he gets home:) I took a few pictures of Macee the other day playing in her car. I am having the hardest time getting her smile for the camera. She smiles all the time, but as soon as I get my camera out, she will NOT smile!!! I know she is doing it on purpose!!!! Little Stinker!!!!

I just love her hair. Some days it will all flip out and some days it will curl under. It has the best body in it and is already turning blonder for the summer.

First Game of the Season!

Today was the first day of the season!!! We are so excited to be playing baseball again!! Today we saw Cousin Ben at the ballpark:)

We had to wake sissy up to go to the game and she was not very excited about posing for pictures. Go RED SOX!!!

I wanted a picture of the back of Macee's shirt, but she didnt want to let go of daddy:)

Marc had to leave for work so he wanted video of Landon playing. I was so busy with Macee that I only was able to take one video of him. He hit from the first pitch both times at bat today and scored runs both times. He played pitcher and did a great job at catching the ball and throwing it to first base. My mom took some great action shots so I will post those when she emails them to me later this week.

This morning we did the Heartwalk with my dad's company. It was CRAZY busy inside drillers stadium before the walk started.

Branson Spring Break

We had such a fun week in Branson. Macee was the BEST traveler! She went the whole time with no naps!!! The kids loved the indoor waterpark at our hotel. We swam everyday and sometimes twice. Silver Dollar City was CRAZY busy, but we has a great time! Landon rode Powderkeg, one of the fastest and scariest roller coasters I have ever been on!!! Enjoy the pics!!!!

My last few posts have been mostly about Landon, so I wanted to add some pics of Macee. She is just A TON of fun lately!!!!

She is talking more and more and just showing her sweet and funny little personality so much!!

Zoo Field Trip

Yesterday was Dr. Seuss' Birthday. Landon's school had dress up as your favorite Dr. Seuss Character day. Landon and Dani had a great idea to dress up as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the The Cat in the Hat. They were shocked when they got to class and tons of their classmates dressed up as the same thing:)

I made the shirts in about 10 minutes! HA! I do not sew, therefore it was VERY simple:)

We celebrated Valentine's Day early this year. Landon was sick with the flu over the weekend. My parents had been out of town for a few days and wanted to see the kids so they came over on Saturday to bring the kids their V-Day presents.

101st Day of Kindergarten!!

For the 101st day of school, the kindergarten classes dress up as the 101 Dalmations. Landon loves any thing that involves costumes or dressing up. My mom made his tail and ears for him. I made the shirt and painted his face and he was ready to go!!! He also brought 101 tootsie rolls to school for his 101 items.

Macee was a little confused I think, she kept pointing at him and saying, "bubba doggie?"

We had so much fun sledding at the Bass Pro Hill. We will probably go back a few times before all the snow is melted... whenever that is...

My mom found Macee the cutest little snow boats, they have little pink puffy balls that hang off the back!

Landon had a blast going down in the laundry basket. He must have went down 30 times! He wasn't even tired from the climb back up!! He went down everyway imaginable, backwards, head first, etc! This kind of thing is heaven for a dare devil like him!!

Macee loved watching all the sledders!

Someone gave us their black tube to keep and it was so fast!!!!

We were affraid to send Macee down by herself, so we just let her go about 10 feet and we would catch her and send her back up. She was giggling so hard:)

We went to Landon's classmates birthday at Bounce U last weekend. Here is Landon with some of his best buddies!

Macee was cracking me up! She loves being with the big kids, she will just join in like she is one of them!

Talent Show

Landon and his good friend Danielle deceided that they wanted to be in the school Talent Show this year! They picked the idea themselves and were very excited! The sang "Take Us Out to the Ballgame." They sang it with music and had some really cute motions to go with it! They had a blast!!!

Landon is having a great time playing basketball!!!! His team gets better and better each game. He has some good friends on the team and is just loving every minute of it!

Landon is posting up trying to get open! There is usually a very tall boy that marks landon since he is the tallest one on his team, however, he is little compared to most of the players that guard him! What are people feeding their kids???:) this team happened to be in first grade instead of kindergarten.

I love how he is not afraid to get after it!

This is Landon's very special friend Danielle from school. She came out to cheer him on this past Saturday! After the game he went to her house to play and practice for their Talent Show Duet!! Don't worry I will do a post on it as soon as it happens!!!!

Macee 20 Months:

I haven't done an update on Macee in a few months, so I thought I would. Yesterday at the Little Gym it was her last class. But we signed up again cause we both love it!!! They got medals and cookies yesterday at the end of class. I didn't get a good picture because as soon as Ms. Tammy gave her the cookies she was gone!!! Ha!!!

This is her new face she make when she is excited!!! I love it!! It is so funny!!! She was making it because it was time for the bubble machine and as soon as she heard the bubble song come on she ran over to the bubble station and was so excited!

But I have a good feeling she will! She is starting to talk so much more and is so fun to play with. She is just so hard to figure out sometimes, she likes certain people alot and then others she cries if they talk to her???? Silly girl!!! She loves to help me around the house. Tonight I caught her crawling around with a towel wiping the hard wood floors. It was adorable!!!!

Christmas Train!!!

We went to the Christmas Train at Dry Gulch and it was AMAZING!!! It was our first time to go and we LOVED it!!! I would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!!! I could not believe the little old fashioned town that is built out there! It felt so much like a mini Silver Dollar City or something.

We are getting in the Christmas spirit here at the Flusche household!

We made our sugar cookies and let the kids help with the decorating. Macee helped with the tasting more so then the decorating!

She was licking the frosting off her cookie and loving every minute of it!!!

6 dozen sugar cookies later!

We sat and froze our bottoms off at the Christmas parade last Saturday!!

Uncle Matt and Ben enjoyed the parade as well!

Gingerbread House time!!!! If any of you remember from last year...... it was a NIGHTMARE!!! Our roof broke and we made one out of cardboard and it was such a pain!!! This year we were SOOOOOO excited to open our kit and find our house already assembled!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!! It was the best gingerbread kit I have ever bought!!! ha!!!!

I Can not believe my oldest child is 6 today!!! That seems so old!

Landon has a very special birthday today! His class is going on a field trip and he brought Star Wars cupcakes to school! Tonight his grandparents and aunts and uncles are coming over for pizza, presents, and cake! Then on Saturday he is having his party with all his friends at the Kaliedoscope Children's Museum. He of course is bouncing of the walls- he has been for a few days!! Landon is turning into such a young boy now. He is so helpful around the house and with his sister. He is taking on more responsibilities and is loving it! As Landon continues to get older, I just pray that he keeps his outgoing, adventurous, goofy, and sensitive personality. He can be so wild and daring, yet so kind and loving. He makes me so proud to be his mommy!!! I love you sweet boy and I am so happy to call you my son!

Prayer Service and Pow-Wow

Landon and I made some cute Pilgrim Hat cookies that I saw another friend had made. They are yummy and easy!!!

On Tuesday Landon's class led the prayer service for the school. They sang the sweetest songs.

On Sunday we met Landon's friend Dani and her parents at the Safari in Broken Arrow. We had never been and they love it. It was such an awesome experience!!!!

Halloween!

Okay, I am finally doing my Halloween post! Of course my pics are in backwards order!! Why can't blogger make this easier!!!!!!!!! Anyway, we had a GREAT Halloween!!! Macee LOVES candy and this was probably one of her favorite days in her short little life so far!!!

Friday Landon had his school Halloween party. It was alot of fun. They played all kinds of carnival games and won prizes. When it was time for treats, Macee wanted to sit at Landon's table with his classmates and have a snack too!!!

This is his group he sits with. He LOVES that it is all girls for two reasons: 1. he loves girls and 2. girls are good listeners so his group wins a treasure box treat at the end of the day:)

After the party we went to the pumpkin patch. Trying to get a picture of them together is exhausting!!!!!!!!!!

Landon has been a busy boy at at school the past few weeks. He was Star Student last week. I took a few pics of his area.

He brought 3 things to show: his light sabor, a baseball trophy, and a batman plane. He also brought his favorite books, Curious George Makes Pancakes and Curious George at the Parade.

Landon's class led rise and shine last week. Landon was soooo excited to talk on the real microphone infront of the whole school!!! He had lots of speaking parts and did great!!!!

He memorized all his lines:)

Last week was Jog-a-Thon and the Kindergarten won the much covetted award "The Spirit Stick" They won this by decorating their hallway with school spirit and by saying a cheer at the Jog-a-thon assembly.

As many of you know, Landon is VERY competitive and takes jog-a-thon very serious. The top runners and fundraisers in each class earn medals. Landon won a medal both years of Pre-K. He was thrilled both times. This year a couple days before jog-a-thon he told me his goal in life was to win a medal every year until 8th grade!!! Well...... on the night before jog-a-thon landon got SICK!!!! He was soooo upset!!! He was still vomiting the next day at noon, when his class was suppose to run. He told me to take him to school and he could just throw up as he was running..... Did I mention my child is competitive?!?!?! Anyway, let's just say he learned a life lesson that day. On Monday they had the rewards assembly and Landon was SOOOO shocked when he won a medal for fundraising for his class!!!!!!!!! It made his day!!!! He could not have won this without all the support from his aunts, uncles, grandparents, and neighbors!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

Marc's oldest brother, his wife, and their two kids are in town for one month from Bahrain. We went to a drive thru Safari in AR on Thursday with them and Marc's dad and his wife Beth. We all had such an awesome time!!! I could not believe how close to your car the animals get!!! Landon was taking a picture of an Ostrich with the window down and it grabbed his camera right out of his hands and threw it on the ground!! Luckily, his aunt got out and saved it!!!

Batman Pumpkin

Every year the Kindergarten classes decorate pumpkins for the Halloween bingo fundraiser at Landon's school. We use these as table decorations. Landon chose to turn his pumpkin into Batman!!! I am not the best at these kind of crafts.... Landon pretty much bossed me around and told me how he wanted it to look:)

It had to have a cape and a belt. Then he wanted the bat system symbol on his chest like the real batman... That was alot to fit on one pumpkin!

Macee is 17 months and it makes me very sad:( She is growing up so fast. She is alot of fun at this age, I just don't like the fact that she is getting closer to two. Macee is still a great sleeper, she will sleep 12 hours at night and 2-2.5 hours during her nap. She still eats okay, she is getting pickier the older she gets. Macee loves dogs and shoes. Every morning she goes into the laundry room and brings everyone their shoes for the day. She will then bring her shoes to you so you will put them on her. She does this so we can all go outside and play!!! She LOVES to go through my bathroom drawers while I am getting ready. She will take everything out and then pretend to put on make-up! ha! She still loves going to the little gym and she is even starting to like the nursery at my gym. She finally stopped crying when I take her in there. It only took 15 months!!!! She can say a few words: mama, dada, bubba, bubbles, night night, hi, bye, up, doggy, Bumpa, more, cheese, mine, ball.. and thats about it. For EVERYTHING else she just grunts!!! It is a loud grunt too!!! She loves to take her diapers and any other trash and throw it away. She like to help clean up her toys:) She, like all toddlers loves cellphones, remotes, cameras, etc. She will pick up the camera and point it to herself and say CHEESE and she is still doing that crazy goofy grin, where she sqwints her eyes and raises her forehead! We can not go get family pictures taken until she is out of that stage!!! She loves to be held on HER terms. She LOVES her pacy(not sure how we will ever break her from it) and taggie blanket. She will carry her taggie with her everywhere. She does not even know the TV exist, she will not even watch Sesame Street! She loves to do what Landon is doing, that is how I get her to brush her teeth! She likes to ride any ride on toy outside and loves her little friends in the cul-de-sac. She still has the cutest little booty shake when she walks. I think she is pretty much perfect! I love staying home with her everyday! She is truely our little princess!!! I love you sweet baby girl:)

Friday after school Macee, Landon, Ben, Ash, Matt, Luke, AJ, and I went to the fair. We had a great night. My pictures kept diappearing when I was uploading them to the blog, so I had to keep adding them again. So they are all out of order. Here is Macee at the Petting Zoo.

Macee LOVED the petting zoo!!! She went nuts in there, running from goat to goat. She kept calling them "doggy". She tried everyway she could to get IN the fence with them, she was trying to put her head in between the bars, she wanted to lay her head on the dirty goats (gross, I know). She was so fun to watch in there!!!

Landon, of course wanted to ride ALL the rides!

There was a HUGE roller coaster at the fair this year. It cost $8.00 a person to ride and took 10 semi trucks to get it there. Landon wanted to ride it, so AJ and Landon rode it!!!! He loved it!!!

You can't really see him, but you can see AJ with his arms up! Landon is in the back next to him. He said his bottom was coming up off the seat on the big drops!!!

He was very proud of himself:)

We all had a great time. I told Marc, next year we will def have to get the Mega Ride Pass for Landon. That kid is a ride lover!!!! Maybe next year Macee will ride some also!!!

First Field Trip

Landon's kindergarten class had their first field trip of the school year on Thursday. They went to the Livesay Orchard in Portor. Macee and I were able to come along and we had such a great time!!! Here is Landon's sweet class.

They were able to pick 2 apples from the apple trees!

Macee had such much fun playing with the apples that were on the ground.

She was being so funny, she was trying to carry as many apples as she could! She has 2 in her hands and is trying to pick up a third one here.

Landon was very picky about the apples he wanted to pick, he had to find the perfect ones!

They also got to pick a pumpkin from the patch. Macee kept finding the tiniest pumpkins and she would carry it around and cuddle it up to her cheek!!!

She was so happy out there with all the children and pumpkins. I just loved how she kept finding ones that were perfect for her little hands:)

I love the fall soooooo much!!! I love everything about it... the weather, the clothes, Halloween, pumpkin patches, carving pumpkins, fall candles, football, the fair, etc!!! We put our outside Fall/Halloween stuff up a few days ago and Landon LOVES them!!!! That boy loves him some seasonal decorations!!!ha!!!

It's Been Awhile!!!

I have not blogged in awhile. Marc is home and we have been busy. I just uploaded some pics from the last couple weeks:)

I love taking pics like this of them walking. This was on the SkyWalk at the hospital. We took Macee to see Aunt Carrie when we was on bedrest.
We went and ate at the new Unlce Bucks inside Basspro and Landon's kids meal came with a tackle box. So after dinner we let him get some gear to fill it up. He loves picking out fishing hooks and bait.

Carrie had baby Madden, 8 weeks early. He is doing amazing! He has been in the NICU for about a week and will be in there for a few more. I have been visiting him as much as I can. He is the sweetest, tiniest little guy!

My pics are out of order(of course), Marc and I went to an OSU game. We had such an awesome time tailgating and watching the Cowboys win!!!!

We have had a fun and busy last couple weeks with Marc home. I am just glad he was home when my sis Carrie had her baby so I could be there with her. I really appreciate Marc letting me be at the hospital with her so much, it meant alot to me.

Football and Labor Day Weekend!

WOW! What a weekend!!! It started off with me and the kids picking Marc up on Thursday morning from the airport. Thursday night we had Landon's first flag football game that was cancelled due to a storm. Thursday morning my sister was admitted to the hospital and is having to stay there until she has baby Madden:(. So we made numerous trips to visit her and will continue to do so until he is born (hopefully not for many more weeks)

We had some family in town from Iowa this weekend also!!! My uncle Jay and Aunt Darcy, and their baby Evan. He is just a couple weeks older then Macee. They had a great time playing together. Evan really like Landon alot though!!! He would hug on him and want to sit on his lap. It was sooo sweet!!!

Jay made a little bench seat for my dad's tractor wagon. The kids went for rides in it all weekend and loved it!!!!

Landon even had fun going for rides and learning how to drive it!

Skate Night

Landon's school always has skate nights. He loves going!!! He has fun skating, seeing friends from school, and playing the video games.

Little Gym for my little Macee

Today we had our 2nd day of our class at the Little Gym. I could see a HUGE difference in Macee in just one week! She joined in alot more of the group activities today! We are in a class with 19-24 month olds, so that we could be with our friends. The class goes until January so she will be fine. Today she played her bells and ran in a circle to the music for the warm-up. She even did her first forward roll!!!!!!! It was the cutest thing ever!!! Afterwards she just layed on her back like "what the heck just happened?" It was so funny! Of course she loved the free play, balls, and bubble time. She even shot a basket today!!

I can not believe Landon is in Kindergarten!!!!! He was SOOO excited this morning! While eating breakfast he kept saying "This is going to be so much fun". He makes me so proud. He is not afraid to do anything and school is one of his favorite things!!! I told him that I might cry today and wanted to know why. I explained to him that he is getting bigger and it makes mommy sad and happy at the same time. He said "please do not cry in the classroom, people will think you are silly" I didn't cry though:) I know he will have such an awesome year. I feel so comfortable leaving him at a school that I trust so much and know that he is getting an awesome education and learning about our faith. Here are some pictures from this morning.

Landon's kindergarten teacher sent him a little school bus in the mail about a week before school started and told him to draw what he wanted to learn in kindergarten this year. He loved doing this! He has so many things he is excited to learn about!

Today we went to our friend's little boys 2nd birthday at the Little Gym. It was great timing because Macee and I are taking a Mommy and Me class there starting this Wednesday. I was glad she was going to try it out before we started! She liked it and had alot of fun! She is hard to figure out sometimes though... She would run around and play on everything and then she would just lay down and rest her head!! It was so funny to me. I'm not sure if I think its so weird because Landon would go 100 miles an hour and never take a break. I think she will even like it more when it is kids her age and the class is geared towards them.

We play outside EVERY night with our great group of friends!!! The kids have so much fun together and look forward to it every night after dinner.

Macee loves it as well and will cry at the door until we head on out to enjoy the HEAT!!!!
It is to hot for her to wear her clothes outside! Besides, who doesn't like to see a little sweet baby in their diaper?!?!

Tonight the kiddos tied the wagon onto the Escalade and went around and picked up "trash" (toys) and put them in the back of the wagon. They were playing "Garage Man".

It is really cute when two sit in the car and the rest ride in the wagon and they pull each other around:)

Macee's 15 month check up

Macee is 15 months!!! She DID NOT like the dr.'s office this time! It was the first time she was been very scared! She didnt have to get shots but she cried so hard when they tried to weigh her!!! I knew that is going to be a rough visit after that melt down!!!! We saw the lady dr. this time and I think next time I will make sure she sees Dr. Knippers and see if that helps. The lady is so nice, but Knippers kinda looks like my dad and Marc's dad a little so maybe she will warm up to him better! She loved playing with the penguins in our room.

They said she looked great!!! They did watch her walk for awhile and said that "it was okay for now"..... they will keep their eye on it. Macee has a bit of a hip twist when she walks. I think it is the cutest little booty shakin' walk I have ever seen, but she does twist at the hips a little. She will probably out grow it. I guess that's why Landon says "Macee girl, where you think your goin' with your hips a shackin', it is adorable when he says that to her!!!!

We signed Landon up for football for the fall. Marc bought him a football so they could start practing throwing and catching it. Landon loves it already! They had a pretend game in the house since it is 109 degrees outside!

The other day we had two friends from Landon's baseball team over for a playdate. It was so fun for Macee also cause one of the boys has a little brother 2 weeks younger then Macee. I also had a great time visiting with both their moms! :)

Yesterday I took Landon and Macee to McDonald's for dinner and to play on the indoor playground. Macee is starting to act just like Landon did when he was her age. She is NOT afraid of anything or anyone. She climbed up the playground as far as she could go and got stuck when she came to a very high step. She whined for her bubba. Landon came and picked her up and carried her the rest of the way to the top!!!! He wanted her to get to go down the big curvy slide so bad. He said " I really want sissy to see how fun it is!" I didnt feel comfortable letting her go down by herself because its pretty steep. So Landon held her and they went down together. She LOVED it!!! They went down a few more times after that. The picture is not very good cause I had to use my iphone to take it. I know I have said this a million times but he is such a good brother!!!! Today when I went to get them from the gym nursery Landon was playing on the floor with her. The lady that works there told me that anytime Macee would cry, Landon would pause his video game and come check on her. He told me he turned the game off and just played with sissy so she would be happy. That kind of stuff melts my heart!

Tea Party!!!!!

Tonight Landon layed a blanket out on the living room floor and set up Macee's little tea party set. He said "Mommy, girls like to play tea party right?" I said "of course, why" and he said "well I set up a special tea party for Macee, can we all play it with her?" It was the sweetest thing ever!!! It is so great seeing how much he loves her and adores her. Sometimes he gets a little rough with her, but for the most part he is very kind and loving to his baby sissy, or as he calls her "Little Stinkers"

I haven't done an update on Macee in awhile so I thought I would:) She is 14.5 months old.

She is into everything of course. She is so sweet and is so much more of a lap baby then Landon was. She still likes to go and get into to everything but she also loves to just sit on your lap or be carried around the house!! She will pick up trash and throw in the trashcan, it is so cute! I was in the shower and she picked up my dirty clothes and put them in my closet and shut the door. She just likes to pick up. However, this does not stop her from carrying random things all over the house and leaving them in weird places:)

She likes to do what Landon is doing. She will sit and watch him and then repeat what he does.

She still likes to stick her hand in VCR part of the DVD player. Of course, it gets stuck and she screams! HA! She is soooo tough, she has had some pretty bad falls and she never cries!!! She has a bruise on her forehead where she fell on the pirate ship at Landon's dentist and she never made a peep!

This is the strange face she makes when I get the camera out and say smile. She raises her eyebrows and leans her head back. It is hillarious, but I have to admit I like her normal smile much better!

She also likes to run off and hide behind the couch and wait for me to come look for her. Then when I see her she laughs so hard and runs to another hiding spot. It is so silly!!! Macee loves stairs right now. She already knows to make the "vrrrrrrm" noise when she is in any toy with a steering wheel. She will grab the wheel and make the noise. I guess she picked that up from landon. She will make that noise also when she holds one of Landon's cars. Don't worry though, she has plenty of girl toys too!!!

She is growing up so fast! She is still an awesome eater! She also lays down for nap and bedtime so easily. She is just such a good baby! I could not love her anymore!!!! :)

New Floors!!!!

Once again my pics are in backwards order! ugh!!! Blogger is not user friendly when it comes to ordering your pics the way you want them!!! Anyway, we got rid of our carpet and put in hardwood floors! Our carpet was just nasty and with 2 little ones it would just be so much smarter to have hardwoods instead of carpet.

Here is a finished pic. We put it everywhere but the bedrooms and kitchen.

We are so thankful for Marc's brothers!!! Luke and AJ helped pull up the carpet and the tile in the entry way. It was not fun getting the glue from the tile off the cement.

Of course Landon wanted to help. Marc and his brothers did all the prep work and then we had someone come and put the floors in for us. I am so happy with how the floors look!!! They look so nice!!!!

Fourth of July Festivities

We had a great and busy fourth of July weekend. My pics are in the wrong order. On Sunday night we went over to Martha's and Sean's for a party and to watch Rockets over Rhema. We had such a great time.

VACATION!!!

We had such a great time at Great Wolf Lodge!!! That place is so much fun for kids!!!

The had an ice cream shop in the hotel, we went there several times:)
Landon has been wanting a marble game for awhile and we found one at the toy store there.

Landon got a "real" spiderman tatoo. He was very excited!

They had a great game area downstairs where we spent alot of our time in the evening after dinner.

Macee and Landon had so much being at the Lodge. They were both so happy to be on vacation:)

They had a great outdoor swim area. We spent only a few hours outside cause Landon liked the play stuff and waterslides inside better!

Macee was such a trooper! She loved every minute of it, especially all the food!!!

This was Landon's favorite thing to play on. He loved when the big bucket filled up with water and dumped on the whole thing.

The hotel was decorated so neat the walls where painted.

VBS.... Stage Pass!

Landon is attending VBS this week. This is his third year at VBS and he LOVES it!!!!! He told me this morning that who ever made VBS only five days needs to rethink that for next year! HA! The music program is AWESOME!!! We always buy the CD on Friday and listen to it over and over in the car! They go to music everyday and one person from each class is given a Stage Pass. They give it to kids who sing all the songs and do the motions with them. Then at the end of the day the children with Stage Pass' get to go up on stage and sing with the music teachers. Landon was talking about wanting a Stage Pass last week before VBS even started! He remembered them from last year. So today when I went to pick him up I saw him on stage and new it had made his day or week for that matter!!! He was so proud and as we were walking out to the car I hear him say... " I wonder if anyone has ever gotten TWO stage passes in one week???" Oh Geez;)

Sweet Friendship

Landon has always played well with boys and girls alike. He has two very close friends that are girls. One is a friend from school and one is a neighbor. Landon says that "Dani is his girlfriend, and Abigail is his best friend thats a girl." Abigail and Landon play together almost everyday outiside. They have been buds ever since we moved in when Landon was only 2 years old. I am so thankful for our neighbors in our cul-de-sac. There are 5 little girls and then Landon! It is so great always having someone outside to play with. It is great for me as well!!! I have the best group of friends in our little cul-de-sac.

We do all sorts of fun things with them. We order pizza together, meet for lunch, go to parks, pools, and just enjoy the good company! We are so thankful for our neighbors, but more importantly our friends :)

Miss Macee

Macee has had a rough couple weeks with her molars coming in. I think we are finally over the worst of it, that is until the rest come in!!!!

She sat in her chair and sucked on a teething ring for about 30 minutes last week.
Poor Baby! She got all the other fun stuff that comes with her teething, runny nose, cough, and diareha. We had quite an experience the other day at Wendy's that involved a TON of wipes, a trip home for a quick bath and wardrobe change! YUCK!!!!!!!

She loves going to the pool!

She has always loved her sleep and been cuddly when she gets sleepy. She will just crawl around and lay her head on anything for a few seconds and then just get up and start playing again. It is so sweet to watch.

Circus Circus!!!

This past weekend we went to the circus with Ben and Ashley and all of our neighbors. It was alot of fun! Landon LOVES the circus!!! He has been about 5 times and he wants to be in the circus when he grows up. :) He will sit in amazement throughout the whole thing!

Of course you cant go to the circus without getting some sort of light up toy that costs a small fortune!!
